Classes are only available in person in Salt Lake County in Utah (United States) at this time. Those wishing to participate from other locations may join One Voice International.
Open Enrollment classes run from September through May.
One Voice Junior Choir
We are officially launching a new program that has been long in the works, One Voice Junior Choir (OVJC)! For this next semester only (January-May 2024), OVJC will be open enrollment with NO AUDITION REQUIRED! In future semesters, students will be required to audition.
OVJC is uniquely designed to be an incredible training program for young singers. It is also the perfect stepping stone experience for those who are seriously interested in auditioning for One Voice Children’s Choir. Starting Winter 2025, singers auditioning for One Voice Children’s Choir will need to participate in OVJC as a prerequisite to auditioning for One Voice Children’s Choir.
This program allows children and youth, ages 7-15 an entry level One Voice Children’s Choir experience as they develop musicality, vocal ability, emotional connection and confidence in performance. Choral education will focus on basics of music theory, sight singing, blend, diction, rhythm and phrasing. One Voice Children offers customized at-home practice materials for singers to apply and continue their learning at home. Through practice rehearsals, singers develop their abilities to harmonize, interpret sheet music, and refine their vocal techniques. The choir fosters a strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork, providing aspiring young artists with the necessary foundation to thrive within the OVCC's musical community and beyond.
WHO: Children & Youth from 1st Grade to 10th Grade
WHEN: Wednesdays January 2024 - May 2024. Studio holidays observed following the Jordan School District Calendar (Thanksgiving, Winter Recess and Spring Break)

All Choir members will overlap between 5:15-6pm for the full choir rehearsal portion of class

Please note that registration and tuition fees are nonrefundable and notification of cancellation in the middle of a season will result in an additional $65 cancellation fee.

Audition
Workshop
The annual One Voice Children Audition Workshop is a great opportunity to directly learn from the directors and creative team leading One Voice Children's Choir and the other programs of One Voice Children. This workshop is highly recommended for those auditioning for One Voice Children's Choir.
Participants should bring and be prepared with a short 45 second cut of a pop song that they can sing a-cappella. Those auditioning for One Voice Children's Choir will be able to receive individual feedback and suggestions from one of the One Voice directors regarding their audition selection(s).
Parents will drop off their child for the first hour of the two hour workshop. This hour will be for singers to work their songs with a One Voice Director for personalized feedback. The singer should be prepared to sing their song in a small classroom format. Individual feedback will be emailed to parents following the workshop. Parents are welcome to attend the second hour of the workshop where members of the One Voice Children team will present general audition information, principles of healthy arts navigation for children and youth followed by a brief Q&A.
